In the United States, homeschooling is legal in all fifty states. The Supreme Court has never specifically ruled on homeschooling, but in Wisconsin v. In almost every area of the country, parents don't need a homeschool education degree. People with young children who have never attended a traditional classroom can start a homeschool program when their child reaches school age.
At that point, they will begin to meet the requirements in their particular state.
